We’re excited to share our experiences from the VDMA India Summit in Pune, held on October 18, 2024! With over 150 German companies and more than 200 participants from diverse sectors, this summit was a vibrant platform for discussions about the future of manufacturing and leadership in India.

Special Thanks to VDMA India

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Rajesh Nath, Managing Director of VDMA India, for his warm welcome and insightful remarks. Mr. Nath highlighted India’s impressive growth trajectory, which continues to make it a strategic destination for international collaboration.

Growing German Exports to India

German exports to India have been rising steadily, especially in the machinery sector. In 2023, exports reached an impressive €14.7 billion, with machinery exports alone amounting to €4.1 billion—a remarkable 5.0% year-on-year increase. This growth underscores India’s expanding role as a critical market for German industry.

The Future of Indian Leadership

Manish Dwivedi, Senior HR Business Partner India at Maier Vidorno Altios, aptly noted, “India’s rapid economic growth and expanding global influence call for leaders who can seamlessly bridge local expertise with global market dynamics. The next wave of Indian leadership will be defined by their ability to embrace global challenges while staying rooted in India’s unique strengths.”

As foreign subsidiaries in India tackle challenges like regulatory compliance and cross-cultural management, Indian leadership is stepping up with innovative, sustainable, and globally competitive solutions.

Looking forward, Indian leaders will be at the forefront of technological advancements, economic reforms, and foreign investment initiatives. Their pivotal roles in these areas will shape India’s standing as a global hub for technology and green innovation.
