/ Mandatory BIS Registration for Potable Water Bottles and Insulated Flasks in India
On the 5th and 14th of July 2023, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade of the Government of India published an order for mandatory certification of the following products with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) detailed below:

As per the Order, Government has given a time of 6 months to make it applicable since the date of publication. It means with effect from 4th January for Potable Water Bottle and from 13th of January 2024 for rest three, only those products will be allowed to export into India who are registered with the Bureau of Indian Standards.
